 Firewall Limited are a leading applicator of steel fire protection and intumescent coatings. We are Firas approved and apply Jotun, Nullifire and Sherwin Williams Products amongst others.

The products we use have been exhaustively assessed to national and international standards in independent test houses across the world, offering the ability to match specific project requirements. 

Engineered for compatibility, Intumescent coatings range includes basecoat, primers, and top seals – a complete system for fire protection and decoration of structural steel.

Intumescent coatings are designed to expand when exposed to hot temperatures, which reduces the spread of a fire, protecting both buildings and people’s lives.

Intumescent coatings protect steel from reaching structural failure temperatures and with steel protection from intumescent coatings they will maintain structural stability for up to 120 minutes, giving the emergency services time to evacuate people from the structure and extinguish the fire.

The coatings we use are the latest in intumescent paint technology and were developed with sustainability in mind. Available in water-based, solvent-based, and two-pack epoxy to achieve up to two-hours fire protection, intumescent paint systems can be applied all year round, and prior to the building being fully weathertight. This meets with the increasing demand for fast-track construction and provides a cost-effective fire protection solution.
